Queensland eyes Byron case as Tweed prepares for snap lockdown

 Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has labelled as “misinformation” reports her state was considering pushing back some elements of the national reopening plan to when 90 per cent of the eligible population was vaccinated.

Brisbane City Council waives 173 parking fines issued to drivers with disability permits

 Brisbane City Council is urgently investigating its mobile parking infringement technology after incorrectly issuing dozens of fines to drivers with disability permits.

Eagleby resident Ken, who asked for his surname to be withheld, told ABC Radio Brisbane that his wife typically parked in South Bank once or twice a week for work and used a standard parking bay with her disability permit.

The man flew to Brisbane from Newcastle on flight JQ484 and spent around four hours in the domestic terminal on September 17.
