Two Australian men in hospital after receiving COVID-19 vaccine

 A man is in intensive care in a Queensland hospital after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, while another man in Tasmania has been hospitalised after his jab.

The 66-year-old Queensland man is in Townsville Hospital with thrombosis after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.

“(The) TGA has confirmed with me that they believe that his illness is a direct result of the AstraZeneca vaccine,” Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said on Thursday.
